A balcony easily turns into a storage place for unneeded things and collects the most street dust. Here is how to put it in order in one go.
Start by sorting your things
Take out everything you can from the balcony and sort it: keep, throw away, give away. A balcony is not a storeroom, and the fewer things on it, the easier it is to keep clean and the more usable space you have.
Wash the floor, walls and ceiling
Sweep dust and cobwebs from top to bottom, then wash the walls and floor. On open balconies dirt sets in harder, so you may need a brush and a more thorough floor wash with water and cleaner.
Windows, frames and window screens
A lot of sand settles on balcony windows in Aktau. First brush off the dry dust, then wash, or you will get dirty streaks. Do not forget the frames and grooves where dirt collects. Details are in the article how to wash windows without streaks.
Set up convenient storage
Closed cabinets and containers protect things from dust better than open shelves. Keep only what you really need on the balcony, and it will stay clean for a long time instead of turning into a storage dump again.
If you have no time for sorting and washing, book balcony cleaning: we will come with our own equipment and products.
